形態特徵

• A tree, the branchlets slightly hairy.
• Leaves about 27 cm long, including the petioles, 15 cm broad; leaflets about 9, chartaceous, opposite or alternate, ovate-oblong, 7–9 cm long, 3–4 cm broad, acuminate at apex, oblique at base, the margins subentire, glabrous above, pubescent along the veins beneath, the lateral veins 9–10 on each side of the midrib, the veinlets indistinct; petiolules 2–5 mm long.
• Cymes axillary or terminal, the rachis pubescent; calyx-lobes broadly ovate, acute, puberulent; petals 5, oblong, 3 mm long; stamens exserted; ovary with a short style and a 5-lobed hairy stigma, the lobes linear.
• Fruit globose, 7–8 mm across, black, 5-seeded.

分布

• 台灣 : in forests at altitudes of 2,000–2,700 m in the northern and central parts.
